Peter Rütten

born 1968, is in particular specialized in mechanical process engineering, bio engineering, automotive engineering, engine construction and emission control.

Beside of patent processes including representation before the European Patent Office and WIPO, one focus of Mr. Ruetten's work is to consult and support the implementing and operation of electronic information systems with respect to monitoring competitors IP-rights and to innovation databases.

Mr. Ruetten finished his engineering studies at the university RWTH Aachen with focus on bio engineering in 1997. After university, he worked in the field of mechanical engineering as an engineer in the application engineering, later in project planning and marketing.

In the year of 2002, Mr. Ruetten started his patent career at the central patent department of Rheinmetall AG, Duesseldorf, and was in particular responsible for the automotive supplier Pierburg GmbH. In 2004, Mr. ter Smitten and he successfully started up a new patent department at Pierburg GmbH. Since 2006 Mr. Ruetten is professional representative before the European Patent Office and became German Patent Attorney at 2011.

Mr. Ruetten is member of the chamber of German patent attorneys and member of the Institute of the European Representatives (EPI).
