Florian Szameitat

Born in 1985, Florian Szameitat is an expert in mechanical engineering, specialising in the fields of automotive engineering, combustion engines, powertrain engineering and design engineering.

After completing his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Mr. Szameitat graduated with a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Ruhr-Universität Bochum, where he specialised in the fields of design and automation engineering as well as in vehicle and powertrain engineering, and in particular in the field of internal combustion engines. He successfully graduated in 2018.

During his studies, Mr. Szameitat worked for a well-known engine and powertrain engineering company as a development engineer and focused, in particular, on the development of components and subsystems for petrol and diesel engines and, in addition, on fuel cells for stationary and mobile applications. Prior to his studies, Mr. Szameitat qualified as a technical draughtsman for mechanical and industrial engineering.

In May 2020, Mr. Szameitat joined terpatent and has since supported the attorney team as a patent engineer. In November 2020, Mr. Szameitat started his patent attorney apprenticeship which he successfully completed in December 2024. His work focuses on novelty searches, the preparation of patent applications and expert reports and the supervision of patent prosecution processes .
